No week 2 review as not a lot really happened.

A DCA for world books decided to engage the services of a company called Local Legal Services Ltd, threatening legal action. So I’ve fired a recorded delivery letter to them this afternoon.

Halifax card services contacted me this morning with regards to an outstanding minimum payment on my card, even though they’ve made a note on their system, I still have to phone their bankruptcy department. I shall do that in the morning.

Last night I received an email from my mum, won’t go into details here as it is personal.

Finally received the forms from the Official receiver this morning, will deal with them on Saturday.

Finally got round to phoning Northern Debt Recovery today, they are Orange’s DCA, they asked me for a copy of my bankruptcy notice. Oh the joys of a standard letter, they will be getting the same letter as Mercer Collections Limited. Still waiting to hear back on “the situation” from yesterday. Will post with further information.

Still no forms received from the official receiver, I’ll be giving them a call tomorrow to see what is going to happen if they are not received before my interview.

Received another letter from Mercer Collections Limited the debt collection agency for Barclaycard asking for a copy of my bankruptcy order. Going to fire off a letter saying they can look it up for themselves.

I have also had something else happen tonight that has made my blood boil, I’ll post some more about it tomorrow if it hasn’t been resolved to my satisfaction.

Nothing to report today.

Thought I’d have nothing to report today, however I have received a letter from Orange’s debt collection agency saying they’ve entered a default on my credit file and are now chasing me for payment before legal proceedings are commenced. Oh boy are you guys in for a shock on Monday.

No surprise that the lady who was supposed to phone me back at 2pm today never did, the penny must have dropped after she finished the call. Hopefully the forms from the OR will turn up tomorrow.

Got my details from co-op bank in the post today. Also had another letter from barclaycard saying “pay off x amount to day and we will give you y amount back”, it was dated the day after I went bankrupt and because of the postal strikes it only arrived today.

Still no forms from the official receiver, not too worred though as the telephone interview is still 11 days away.

Nothing much to report today, except a woman from egg I think rang me up about a new service called “privacy guard” a new £6.99 to prevent identity theft. I let her ramble on for five minutes hinted that I was bankrupt, she didn’t seem to get the hint, so when she asked me for my bank details I said I didn’t know, she’s phoning be back at 2pm tomorrow for them. I’ll just tell her I’m not interested and that I am bankrupt and anyone would be stupid to try and steal my identity.

So what has happened over the past week?

Not a lot really, everything seems to have ground to a halt now, still waiting for the forms from the OR, though they would have arrived by now, but no sign of the postie this morning, thought they would have had a mountain of back logged mail to go through.

So hopefully more forward motion this week.

This is it today marks the 1st week into my bankruptcy. Had some good news from the co-op my cashminder account is now open. However still haven’t received the forms from the official receiver,  probably caught up in the backlog of mail.

Got another letter from Halifax Card services asking for a minimum payment on my account also received my latest statement from them.

It looks like things are starting to turn around, let’s keep the momentum going.
